ORIGINAL: ScreamingYellow2005

did mine on our own just busted the window out cut out the glass stuck on the glue got window sealer and tracked the same place the glue was and put the shr in and kept pressure on them for bout 5 min and kept it in the grarage for a day and dcame out perfect. The only reason you have to remove the interior is if you want to save the glass and i didn't care so we busted the glass out.
[:-] WOW. If I had thought of it I would have done the same instead of having a shop do it. [sm=headbang.gif]

I was just trying to make sure the glass was safe. Sometimes the obvious is not so obvious.

I ordered mine pre-painted from SHR about two weeks ago, and I'm still waiting on them. The wait's not a big deal, though, because I know pre-painting takes time. Anyway, I did not order the installation kit. Like others have said earlier, if you plan on taking it to a glass specialist (which I plan to do), then they should have all the necessary tools to do the job right. The kit is strictly for those interested in doing the install themselves. And even then, you don't necessarily need the kit even if you do it yourself.
