Chrome actually will rust, though. Polished metals require maintenance, it's just a fact of life, and switching to chrome will also require that you polish them too to maintain the look.

chrome will require polishing only... much like my chrome DD wheels... chrome will not require scrubbing with steel wool every week to remove the rust.

LOL, the pictures that you have shown aren't rust, they are stainless discoloration. Polishing them, just like you would chrome will bring back the luster.

Hate to disagree, but I've polished them in the exact same manner as my chrome wheels and that discoloration isn't going anywhere without heavy encouragement. I've polished them almost daily but that discoloration has steadily gotten worse and worse. I even got out a very abrasive pad and still that discoloration is killing me.

Its a good thing Pypes makes their tips removable. I'm ready to trash these tips and buy a higher quality tip that will not deteriorate as quickly or as pronounced. Suggestions are encouraged!!

Get something double walled if you don't want discoloration....or you could get some high temp black paint and just paint the ones you have. You can probably find something from places like Summit Racing or Jegs.

I was going to suggest something double walled also. The Corsa's are ... and I'd 100% get the Corsa tips if you can find them ... but that might be hard.

Thanks, I'll keep my eyes open for the Corsa tips. There are also some nice tips on the Shelby Performance Parts website, but I am not certain what material they use or if they are "double walled". Take a look...
