I cut mine down to 14" witha hacksaw. used a fine file to round of the end, then dabbed on some Krylon. Still gets the same FM and AM reception. Cost was $0.

If by "good" you mean cheap then American Muscle is the way to go. Use the 6% code and you'll get about a buck and some change taken off. Or you could just do the "DIT" way LOL I'm sure that works just as well

Thats what I did. 14 inches is pretty much level with the roof as well. Takes about 15 minutes to pull off, no waiting for a package to arrive, no money paid, no problems with reception. IMO, if you buy one you're just throwing away $20

The black piece is a reducer. You will have to screw one threaded piece into the antenna, then screw the other end into theblack piece. Then another threaded piece from the black piece to the car. Took me about 10 minutes of interchanging parts to get it right.
