Going Old School?

Going Old School?
I am contemplating a change in tires and wheels. Instead of the trend for 20", I am looking at going with a little smaller wheel (old school cragars) and a bigger sidewall tire with white lettering. I really like the stance and look of the older mustangs. (check out the pic) What do you think this would look on a new mustang, especially a vista blue with white stripes?

I thought about that myself. I had a '70 Mach 1 and really liked the way it looked. I was considering putting the old magnums on mine, turned out it was going to cost me allot more, so for now I'll stick with my 18 inch bullitts.

I agree with the "old school" look concept that you are looking to do. I have the factory 17" on mine but I am looking to go up to 18" and have seen many a nice looking rim in that size.I personally don't like the 20" wheels but to each their own. That is what makes owning these cars so much fun, each of us has their own ideas and though it may not always be my taste, some of these cars do look great!

Definitely go with a classic wheel design. I personally like the way 17's look on these cars, 18's at the absolute most, though. And the traditional Cragar S/S is a fantastic design.
And, just as illustration to back up your "Instead of the trend for 20"...
20" S/S... blech
Also, the traditional style 612s I think looks much nicer than the 'updated' style on the 610/616 shown above.
