Debadging a GT.

Debadging a GT.
I decided a few weeks ago that I wanted the GT badges off the side of my car to give it a little bit cleaner look. Normally when I do anything to the car I post here to ask any questions, but this time I thought it would be so easy I wouldn't really need to.
Well I began the job and got most of the glue off one of the badges when I realized the badge is not only held on by glue but by prongs that go into the side of the car. This is obviously a problem since I can't have exposed holes in the side of the car.
So my nub qustion is, what should I do about the holes. Is there a simple do it yourself method that people use or must I go to my bodyshop and pay them to patch it up and paint it?
Thanks for the help and yes I know it wasn't an overly bright move.

Ford quoted me 600 dollars to do this and I too wanted the clean look. The Ford deal was to take off the emblems fill in the holes and repaint it. Damn too bad we all don't make money like a baseball player or something because that would by like nothing to fix.

Thanks guys, I'll head down to the body shop today for an estimate I guess. I thought about doing some other badging, but with my paint job I think the car will look best with nothing along the sides. I'll try and get some pics up when its all said and done.

would it be easier and less stressful to just get the bullitt/v6 fenders rather than take the gt badges off and fill the holes, then paint.
maybe i'll get lucky and find a set of the most common color fenders.

Well I went in and spoke to a guy a the body shop who has the same model Mustang and he quoted me roughly 1200. I would definitely agree if you have a stock body kit and paint job to just go ahead and find a sixer of similar/same color without it.
However, I have a 2 toned paint job with a pin stripe so to paint both my fenders and hood then clear coat and blend it all will be outrageously pricey. Instead I'm just having him paint each of my GT's black as he has on his and I think it looks a tons better. I'll try and get pics when I can.
