Rearview mirror installed, Nice addition!
So this is IT, last install on my new Stand for a while. I just installed a Ford (Gentex) Auto dim/homelink/compass/temp rearview mirror. Install was straight forward and these cars come apart and go back together well. I like to have the homelink, temperature and autodim, dont need the compass so much as I have a Nav, but I am really glad to have this addition to my car.

I ran a wire from the fuse box for power.
Ground under the dash and two wire goes to the front grille area for the temp sensor.
The compass is built in the mirror base, so no need do do anything to it.
If you plan do do the swap like I did, make sure to get the temp sensor from a Tahoe/Suburban if you get the mirror from this vehicle...
I tried to use two Cadillac ones that I had, but no workey, it wouldn't read it.
I went back to the bone yard to get the Suburban sensor and it worked.
Don't forget to use the plastic trim that hides the wires from the mirror to the headliner...
(It's aesthetically much better) and also get the plug connector with about 3 inches of wires from the vehicle harness.
You're electrically inclined, so I'm sure you can figure this out.
If you go that route, it's a lot cheaper than buying a $200/300 new mirror.
I never took pictures of this, so you'll have to excuse me for it...
