They look good, but is it the camera angle or do the rears look like they would crush a fender well or at a minimum blow a tire if you rubbed real hard? What offset are the rears?

Looks good, although are there no center caps in there or does it just look that way in the pics?
Seems like a lot of people lately have not upsized to 18+ and I'm starting to consider it myself b/c I really like the look of the extra meatiness of bigger aggressive tires.

The rears fit just fine, they are about 1.4" less diameter than my stock 235/50/18's which brings my "effective" gear ratio from 3.55 to 3.73. I've driven over speed bumps, small pot-holes already with no problem at all. The offset in the rears are 28mm which brings the centerline out about an inch. That and the wider tires make them stick out about 1/2" from the fender. I like the look of the wider stance in the rear, more old-school i guess. I wasn't very happy with the way the tires were tucked inside the fender about 2-3 inches before.

The center caps they (AM) sent me were different between the front wheels and rear wheels. I guess there was a mix-up because they are staggered widths. Anyway, I called them and they told me to keep the ones they sent, and that I could pick the ones I want from their website. Shipped them free of charge. Not bad service in my opinion!

I had 18" factory bullitts, but wanted to get away from the bright, shiny larger wagon wheels that you see everywhere. I prefer the old-school muscle car look. I got the 17's because I wanted to minimize rotating mass, and also wanted to go 10.5" and 315mm in the rear, which they don't make in the black DD bullitt's in 18's (that I know of).

so you have a larger diameter in the front by almost 1.5 inches and you have the inproper offset also....certainly a new setup that i have never seen

Not to be insulting the the rear tire diameter looks too small. There's too much gap between the tire and fender. Sorry.

315's on an S197??? Is that because he has the wrong offset in the back?? Damn, lower that rear end and WOW, it's going to look good.
