Default Battery Hold Down Bracket...

are these only designed to fit the factory motocrap battery or will they fit any battery that is made for our model car???

Good question! Wish I had an answer for you. I did find another pic, looks like a different battery than in your pic. I still have my Motorcraft BXT-96R battery, so I think I'm safe.

would one of you guys be so awesome to be willing to check the measurements of the motocraft battery for me as far as from the back of the battery to the front and from the bottom if it to the top so i can compare to my duralast to see if the bracket will fit???

Looks to be 6 7/8in. in both directions - top to bottom and front to back

Damn you Doug! Damn you!

WELL, for kicks and giggles, I pulled mine out anyways. Mine measures 6 3/4 hight and 6 3/4 deep, no including the little "pad thingy." Just a hair different than yours Doug.

ONF1R,
I've got one of those batt. hold down. It is a little to big for the stock battery. It doesn't fit square on the top. But, it still looks good.
