I think the mirrors would be cool, you don't want to draw attention away from that engine bay and mirrors would only put the focus more on your airbrushing.

A guy in my Mustang club removed the hoodliner from his GT500 hood and had the hood airbrushed. Looks pretty cool even with all the ridges.

You should actually have a picture of the side/front of your car airbrushed under the hood... You know how I like it.

They make mirrors out of plexeglass. Cut then to fit your hood indents. Do a search for online for dealers. There was a plastics dealer in tampa that had the stuff yrs ago. Or try Skycraft off I4 and Fairbanks

Ok, here is my .02, First I'll tell ya were Im comin from so you know Im not talking out a paper a** hole. I had a 65Falcon, modified 289 V-8, two 4bbl carbs, chrome etc, really super sharp and I found that a very detailed and super clean engine bay will usually put the win in your favor, I have a garage full of trophies to prove it. But here is a really good tip I learned from a GTO guy. At this one car show there was this GTO that had his hood half way between open and close and as I was bent over looking in his engine compartment I asked him why he had his hood that way. His answer led me to do the same thing for the next 15 yrs at car shows. He said see how you are standing/postioned? I said yes, well you see in order to look at the engine/engine bay you have to back away from the car a little bit so you can bend over some to look in. this does several things. First it keep the idiots from laying all over the fenders and front facia, no scratches that way. Second it would not expose as much of that blaring white hood at you, Third it really hides the dust you just cant seem to get but it still really shows up most of the parts of the engine you want to show. Here is one more tip, try to keep the sun to the back end of car during judging or voting cause in an engine bay direct sun sucks. Shows everything up. I see you have the gas hood kit I would make a rod about the length you want and have it hook over the hood latch and attached some how to the front rad brace .I havent got that far yet on mine so I do not have specs for ya. On my Falcon it was a fibeglass AFX hood w/ hood pins so was able to put the rod thru there and I drilled a hole in the rod for a clevis type pin. worked nice. My opinion dont paint the underside of the hood, you dont want to draw attention away from your motor leave it white because it will reflect some light down on your engine.I hope this helps

Koto, I see you used the chrome wire loom! How is that holding up?!? I used the red chrome - after a season, it came off (along with all the little flakes!)

300 - that is an awesome hood! Had to look at it a couple times to catch all the details.

airbrushing the roush R under your hood would be my suggestion bro. after seeing your airbrushing skills i'd say continue that on and make your mark under the hood!

Sorry for the confusion, but that's not my car. I pulled that pic from the eBay auction for the product since the images on the page that was linked were crap. I didn't want to leech the guy's bandwidth, so I resized it and put it on my own space. Thought I'd put a disclaimer in the previous post. Guess I overlooked that, I'll have to fix it.
