Default Black rear gas cap emblem?

I'm blacking out everything on my mustang i'm almost done except that chrome gas cap on the back. anyone know where they sell new ones or should i just paint it? My buddy has a spray gun and paints a lot of peoples cars for money in his spare time but he isnt sure it would stay on because of the chrome coating. can anyone help me out ?

a few guys on here have painted it. looks good painted. personally i'm going to pick up the trim ring cover thing and paint that black then install it over the chrome part.

If you are going plain black just paint it.

We have sold a bunch of the custome painted ones along with the front grill pony emblems but it's a lot cheaper if you just paint one yourself. If you want a plain black one I can work you up a price. Here are a few of the painted ones...

thx 5.... ;-)

you are very capable of painting it yourself...all you do is get the badge, use some 2000 grit sandpaper to sand down the chrome coating, get a coat of rattle can self etching primer on it, then a coat of some quality gloss black rattle can on there and you will be good to go!

Just paint it your self it's very very easy to do. just skuff it up a little bit primer it and spray it black with some spray paint. i used the high temp paint cuz its a little thicker then the normal. But heres mine.
