To me the off color fuel door kill the lines of the car. Body color is the only way to go - imho.

Cutter, your approach is growing on me. Is this the Scott Drake door? If so, I assume you started with the satin one and simply prepped it for paint. Since I am sending my new hood in soon, might just consider this as an option and get it shot at the same time.

Its the Shebly fuel door but I think Scott Drake makes it. I order the black one (with out the shelby logo on it) and then had a paint shop prep and paint it for me. But I think a plain sating one would work too. The bolts/screws just need an alan wrench to remove them and are not needed for mounting the door on with. So go ahead a remove them prior to droping it off for paint.

Here is an older pic of my car but you can see how it adds to the look of the car with out "standing out"

I know these guys make awesome products as I have their new replacement billet switch plate on order now and am considering the black gas cap as well.
The gas cap is easily accessible and you can even keep the lanyard if you want. I am happy with the quality of the work and it looks as good today as it did 34,000 miles and two years ago. I'll try and get some pics for you.

I do like cutterwolf's approach, and think that the engraved GT door would look good painted the same color as the car. Could possibly leave the GT the polished color, or paint it black or something. Would be nice if SHR could engrave GT/CS!!
