How is the RPI scoop installed? Any drilling or cutting of hood required?

If you want to keep it for any length of time then yes you would have to drill your hood. The RPI scoop isn't closed off like the stock scoop so its going to act like a sail going down the road. If it's just taped all that air trapped between the scoop and hood is going to rip it right off.

What kind of money have you guys spent after paint/installation on either?
I really like the cervini's hood! The paint on my car is gloss black with clear coat and to paint the hood, chin, between tails and rear spoiler cost me $1,000 at local body shop. Sorry, I do not like the stuck on scoops at all.

+1111... no bolt on scoop! Either go with a shaker or a new hood!

I am kicking myself for not ordering scoop delete as they just don't look right. And since I found a great deal fairly local on a Foose hood, that will be replacing my "scooped" hood very soon

I say go with a new hood. Like a lot of the people that already posted, i'm not a fan on bolt on hood scoops. But, if you must have a hood scoop, I say go with the B9.

I really like the rpi scoop especially at 180 painted but i really dont like the fact that its just open at the end. has anyone found or fabricated a plastic insert to put there? was it hard to install?
