HID and Halo

HID and Halo
I'm looking to get HID headlights and i stumbled across halo lights for the fog lamps. i saw a picture of a car that had red halo lights and was wondering if anyone knew if i would be able to get them for my 07 gt. I see all these different numbers after the HID lights. Does that mean the brightness?

The number after the HID does indicate brightness. Make sure you check local laws before you install them. Out here in Cali it's illegal to have lights brighter then what the mfg installed. Doesn't stop people from getting them anyway but it's good for you to know.
As for the halo fog lights, I just installed halo fog lights and headlights on my car this evening. It is a lot of work! The good news is when all the halos are bright they look awesome. The bad news is the halo on the fog lights sometimes come on dim and sometimes come on bright. The head light halos and fog lights halo are wired together on each side so the probelm is with the for lights. It's going to suck swapping them out.

The numbers listed are Color Temperature. Higher numbers are "cool" or blue/purple and lower numbers are "warm" or yellow/red. However, the further up the scale you go the less usable light you have. It will still be brighter than standard halogen bulbs though.

Most halos are poorly pumped pieces of neon made in china.
The life of these cheap tubes is very, very short. They are
bright when new and they should stay that way for
100s of years if properly manufactured but if you dont
evacuate the tube to nearly a perfect vacuum, the impurities
will soon collect on the electrodes and the tube life
will be short and dim at best. Plus the white color means that
the insides are coated and have Argon with dirty mercury
that makes to even tougher to produce a quality neon tube.
The red tubes with neon in them dont need the mercury to
be excited by the high voltage.
Been there done that.....
