I'm really happy w/ mine. I was like you and considered the GT500 over and over but the fit and quality is so much better w/ the cdc classic, I think I would be kicking myself if I went the other way. Plus, w/ the cost of the GT500 lip you are only going to save maybe $80 and if you have to go out and get a dremel to make it fit, you are down to $50 difference.
