Default Sequential and inspections

Anyone ever have any problems passing inspection with those sequential tail lights?

Just wondering... Didn't want to deal with some overzealous guy saying it was too close to emergency lights and not passing my car.

The 2010's have sequential tail lights, so it's definitely not a prohibitive mod. Just don't hit the brakes too often, as it's technically illegal for the brake lights to sequence because it's too close to a turn signal action. The 2010's do not sequence when the brake is activated.

I wouldn't worry about it.

They used them back in the day and on the 2010 like you stated but pumping the brakes often is not illegal here in MI if it is warranted and both sides will light up when you brake indicating that your braking and not turning....just like if you put your hazards on they sequence together in opposite direction of course.

speaking of the after market ones like the OP has

Sorry when I said "don't hit the brakes too often" I meant during the actual inspection so as to not attract any unnecessary attention to the mod for those few minutes.

When they inspect it here - the inspector drives the car and does the check. You have to get out and stand to the side
