Got the badges installed today. With carefull placement it is possible to cover the holes completely. I didn't get it perfect, but only part of one hole can be seen from a very low angle.

It seems that the upper hole can't be completely covered between the '8' and the left side of the 'V'.

What you are seeing is a shadow. A portion of the upper hole shows on the underside of the lower 8 at about the 1 0'Clock position. No parts of the hole show at normal viewing heights.

Yes, I agree...the V8 badge looks more elegant than the original.
