Default SHR Louver Install Cost?

I want to have a shop install my SHR louvers but I am having trouble finding someone to do it. In the mean time, anyone know the typical cost of having these installed at a body shop?

Also, if you are from Maryland and know of shop that can do this, let me know. Thanks

From what I've read on this board if you go to a body shop they charge a lot. They say to go to a place that does auto glass and they should charge you less then $100 for install.

make sure whoever puts them in knows what they are doing! The local glass shop here in PA didn't know about a special primer, at least that's what i was told, and the drivers side came lose and the passenger side FELL OUT! just ask whom ever does it about a special primer that helps adhere the plastic to the window sealant. Hope this helps.

don't the SHR Louvers come with a special Adhesion Promoter?

the install seems very straightforward. Just gotta get that special glue set up properly

The SHR Louvers are my next (and 1st) mod for the Bullitt. Saving up some money to get them.

this is a time consuming mod, but there is no reason to not do it yourself. You dont need any special tools (everything comes with the louvers) and you dont have to lift the car so its safe.

If you are gonna pay someone to do expect between $300-$400 because there is alot of time involved in removing the interior pieces and waiting for the adhesive to dry. Also keep in mind that most shops have never done this install before either so they will be following the directions in exactly the same manner you would be.

Or you can take it to a shop that will break the glass and can probably do it in under an hour. I would not recommend this option!

here is the writeup to follow:

If you were close to me in FL i would do it, for a case of beer and $200!

Do it yourself, or bring it to nj and I will do it for 75 bucks and a case of good beer.
