I like the black, how did you get it off, I had to spray mine with it still on the grill.

I didn't trust myself spraying it while still attached to the car, so I just took the radiator cover off and jiggled loose the grille. The little circular metal clips holding the pony in place were all rusty and I could not get them to come off so I just broke them off. Reinstall new pony and snap back the grille and there you have it....

Looks good but not enough of a chrome look to me to match my rims. But atleast my idea somewhat worked.

painting over chrome will not last to long. the paint/tint will eventually oxidize. but i guess you could just redo it like every 4 months or so.

would a clear coat not solve this problem? or a UV coat?

Thanks.

think you should sell these on the internet and enjoy some cash flow. I like the black pony. What did you do just take off the one on the grill and paint it. does it scratch bad?

No, it would not. Anytime you paint over chrome, it looks good at first, but eventually there are somewhat bubbles that form and a weird reaction occurs. To do it right you would have to do a epoxy or etch primer and then a finish primer, and that would not work because you want to just tint over the chrome.
