Some like chrome, others don't. I've gone to great lengths to keep chrome OFF my alloy Stang (short of removing any factory bling). My quarter window and rear window louvers are all painted to match. Matter of fact, when I was searching to replace the factory fan blades, I went with a brushed look rather than chrome. The car looks more subdued, almost like a sleeper. You'd be surprised how many doubletakes it gets and the comments about it looking mean and not flashy.

We are on the same page as I am doing the same thing with my Alloy... less is more. Not only on the exterior, but I am doing the same thing under the hood. And as with you, I constantly get comments about the subtle/mean look of my car.

Some chrome looks ok on certain colors (like Red)... but for the most part, I think these cars look better without it.
