What u guys think of these wheels for my car?

255 is already too small at the back back for a 8.5 rim but on a 9.5 it can't be right.
Although I'm running 20s, I went 285 on a 10' rim at back but should have gone 295 minimum.
I have 275 up front (8.5 rim) and it'll stay that way...

and a 9.5 in the rear running 275/40s
I really didn't want to go with staggered, but maybe I should for the look.
What you think?
So what you're saying is that the 255s are too small to run on an 8.5 rim? The tire place says that's the way to go and they sell the 245s on the 8.5 rim as well. This isn't my forte. Tell me if I'm messing up with the sizes.

I could also order them with an 8.5 in the front running 245/45s
and a 9.5 in the rear running 275/40s

I'd go wider for looks as well as rim curb protection.
I like my tires to stick out about half an inch past the rim...
The tire place is covering its *** by stating the sizes you mentioned but you can go wider safely.
You could go 275 all around with those rims but it might look funky with the 9.5 rim at the back. If you really want to keep rotation possible, I'd stay with 8.5 rims all around and mount the 275s.
I will take pics of my front tires for you so you can have a visual...

255 aren't too small as far as safety goes, they're fine in that regard.
