Default Looking for pics of S197's with polished or chrome 17" or 18" wheels.

My car has stock 17" painted bullitt wheels on it which I believe are factory. I'm looking to brighten things up a bit with some polished aluminum or chrome wheels. I'm undecided on Foose Nitrous or Legend wheels or just some chrome Bullitts. I've noticed the majority of people on the forums are going with 20" wheels but I'd like to stick with 17" if possible due to my car having brand new good year tires on it. Does anybody here have chrome or polished aluminum 17" wheels on their Mustang? I'm just looking for some pictures to see what it would look like.

Anyone know who makes the wheels from AM? I was also looking at these wheels there. http://www.americanmuscle.com/verde-...eels-18x9.html I think I like the deep dish look. Looks good jobeonnet!

What size wheels and tires So Cali?

I was looking at 18x9's all the way around with 255/45-18's or 18x9's in the front with 255/45-18's and 18x10's in the rear with 285/40-18's but am not sure how that would look. Great looking ride.

18x9's in front & 18x10's out back. Tires are 245's in front and 275s rear...I'd do 255 with some 285 or 295s in the back next time around.

I agree as the 255/45 fronts and 285/40 rears are a good set-up as I am running those on my CS69s (18x9.5). This is also the same sizes that come stock on the GT500s.

Here's a link to another thread. American Muscle 18x10 and 18x9 deep dish wheels, Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 255 and 285's. I was also thinking of going with 17" wheels, but none of them were deep enough. Now that I've seen 17" deep dish wheels on somebody else's car, the sidewalls look too thick.

Anyone think the stock wheels can be stripped and polished (with sand paper) or chromed? Sounds like that would be the cheapest if you have the time. I polished the tips of my mufflers and it wasnt bad, just start with 400 grit and work your way to 2000. If i can find a stock painted rim on CL for a real cheap price i plan on trying atleast...

Monkeyleg, I've all but decided on that exact setup. Not sure on tire make yet. Looks like I better start saving again. I just spent a considerable amount on a set of Borla Stingers. Are the quality of the American Muscle wheels good?

It's hard to tell from pictures....do they offset the 18x10's so they don't stick too far out the sides in the back? Was wondering if the fronts and backs are flush with the fenders/quarters...

Beautiful car by the way.
