Default Paint chip on the shaker system

There's a little paint chip/scratch on the seek button of my shaker system. Was thinking of trying to use some enamel paint to touch it up. Not sure if it will even stick. Anyone have suggestions on how to patch it up?

They usually say clean it first with some rubbing alcohol or denatured. Then apply a primer to it. Let it dry and then add the touch up paint in layers till it gets around the same height as the paint after drying. Then sand it real quick and hit it with some polishing compound or just polishing compound till it sits level.

^ thats alot of work for a radio button. should be able to use model paint, like testors, as its designed to work on plastic. I think satin black would be the closest match.

Is there a specific black touch up paint that works best?

I had testors in mind too but wasn't sure if that would hold up. Had to touch up my shorty antenna few months back with gloss black and doing good so far.

Argh, I read it too fast. Thought you meant like a hood scoop. My bad!

Just make sure you clean it and find something that sort of looks like it. Or just replace the **** or button.

as a option, complete set, you do yourself, you could upgrade your whole dash and all for about 200, they have a wide selection at CAR ID website. i did mine in real red and black carbon fiber...if you decide to do i'll tell you the prep, cause there is steps before starting that requires some cleaning stuff i only found on internet, only cause i followed site recommendations. although web address says wood grain, you have not just wood grain but all sorts of material, just go out and look.

That looks good. Does it sit pretty flush? Assuming that it's an overlay. Red leather is so hard to match though >.<
