2010 Dash Kits
#11
I looked at the v6mustangstuff one..... What do you mean by "it comes in two parts?" There's a manual transmission option and an automatic transmission option. it looks pretty similar to the carid one, but i do know that the carid.com website has more options.

After looking at all of the versions, the B&I one is the way to go. Sherwood is ok but you get less options. I ordered the B&I one from the carid.com website. Mine came with 32 pieces and was $234.00. You get what you pay for, and after looking at all the options you're looking at, the B&I one is better. Just go to the bottom of the page on the carid website and choose the B&I configurator.

Cools thanks dave. On the v6mustangstuff site You have to buy the upper and lower pieces separately which are about $150 each, I am not sure if they are better quality over the B&I. Is your original dash reuseable if you want? Is the B&I Kit thick or thin?

You just stick the kits right over the top of your old dash. The B&I kit is fairly thick, but not too thick that it will cause any bulkiness. Get the B&I. You won't be sorry. I've used Sherwood in the past on past vehicles, and the B&I is definitely better.

It only took a few days. I've ordered the other kits in the past for other vehicles and sometimes it took like 3 weeks to get them. Hopefully you'll get yours in just a few days like I did. Very easy to install. Just make sure everything is lined up perfectly before you press it down. If you misalign something, don't worry because you can pull it up and reset it. If that does happen just make sure you run your fingers over it and press down to make sure it's stuck in place. Did you get the carbon fiber? I've been toying with the idea of getting something other than the woodgrain. I like the woodgrain so I'm not sure if I want to do it. It makes my interior look more luxery than sport. If I went for a different look, I might do a black wood, carbon fiber, or more brushed aluminum. Who knows

Funny that you say that..... I just ordered the black carbon fiber and I'll see how it looks. I know the wood looks good, but I think the black carbon will fit my "theme" better.

I've taken them off before when switching out sets in previous cars. Some pieces stick better than others but they're never really that hard to remove. Some may need to be heated with a heat gun for removal but most will pull right off with the right amount of pressure.
