no one has posted it yet so i may as well ask.....

both of these rotor brands have the zinc coating so there shouldnt be, but has anyone heard of any problems with rust forming on the non-contact areas of these rotors after having them on a while????

this is a big concern for me as i am getting rid of mine now because they rust like crap on the non-contact areas.....

also for more info, rpidesigns.com has the set decelarotors for $296 before shipping after you enter the discount code "TEN"----cruizindesignconcepts.com has the rotors for $300 before shipping so i guess it'll come down to shipping cost on them to be the deal-maker.......

i think any rotor, zinc coating or not will have the rust eventually. its the nature of a rotor when subjected to the damp air. My rotorpros have a little surface rust the comes off real easily.

I got Centric premiums (149 total shipped) with Hawk pads, very happy and no dumb slots or holes , just removes material to make less contact with pads?! lol I want my brakes to work as efficiently as possible and not warp, not look pretty.......

What do you have now anyway? How long it take to rust?

I've heard reports that the BAER won't rust. But I have no personal experience. I plan on just painting mine before install.

Mike, this is what you need.
Brush it on, put 2 coats.
Comes in black or gray...
Been using this stuff for years and it's the best for rust. Wire brush the best you can first and apply it directly to surface rust, it will saturates it.

2 advices though: Don't let any on your skin cause it stains real bad and when it's dry, it will NOT come off your fingers.
It has a short shelf life once open, keep the lid on it as much as you can.
Pour what you need in a small container first.

okay thanks pascal....

quick question though before i buy this....

im not sure if ill be keeping these rotors or not because i am suspicious that one of them may be warped....

here are the symptoms:

*car drives straight but when brakes are applies lightly, cars pulls to the right a bit...

*when applying brakes lightly, i can feel a rythmic vibration in the pedal like the pedal kinda pushes against my foot about the same spot on the rotor as it rotates...

*car if fine accelerating but when i get to about between 60-65 mph, my steering wheels is vibrating somewhat violently

my alignment IS off just a hair, the top of the front wheels are towed in just a bit but i havent done that yet until i see what i want to do about my rotors so i can do all of it at one time....

please let me know what u think this is...
