What size bolts did you use? I want to try this.

the bolts were about 4 inches in length, and the top was about 1/2 inch in diameter. just make sure you get ones that have a smooth top, some have numbers stamped in them.

then i cut the bolt just below the nut with a Dremel.

id say, tape the bottom side of the hole with duct tape/something really strong, then mix up some bondo, and pack it in the hole.... get it nice and flush, sand it... then hit it with touch up paint, you shouldn't really see a big difference. i think it looks a little better than a bolt head hanging out....smooth or not.
