Default DIY: Console Switch Panel **PICS**

Hey guys,
I'm putting a switch panel in the stang and thought I'd snap some pics for you all to take a look at.

This is just the beginning of the project. I'm going to complete the wiring process, install some LED map lights, and replace the stock overhead bulbs with Red LED's. I'll update a little later with the final result.

Completed Panel

Tools
Flathead Screwdriver - Small
Drill
File
3/4 drill bit if you can - if not go small and use the file, be patient
Wire tie
5 switchs

Remove Console

Remove Blue Tooth

Drill hole here

I never use my BTooth so its no bother to me to remove it

Easiest way to remove these suckers - notice which hole my driver is in

Before

Switch's Used: Rocket Panel Switch from Auto Zone

I put in 5 switch's you could fit 6 but I prefer 5 - Drill hole in center

Drill outside hole

Start small you can always work it out with the drill bit and file

Wire ties help keep your wires back - RECOMMENDED

Almost there

Finally

And a pic for the day

Hope you like

Yea, with respect, we can all use a drill to make holes. What are the switches for, and if you say various LED's around the cabin I'm gonna report you to the post ***** Police j/k

Factory fog light switch broke so that will probably be one - I'm adding a lower grill with fogs in it so there's another, I also have a spot for PIAA fogs as well so there's another, I have some red and blue strobes in the front as well as foot well lights so .... ya mainly for lights but not any of those gay under glow ones

This was more of an idea than for everyone than anything, I know we all can drill a whole but some out there like a little more guidance than others. Thanks for lookin!

The trunk release switch is actually a damn good idea. I know all those fogs will come in handy if you have any areas that have absolutely no lights at night.

Great Idea. Always love to see those out of the box things people do. I personally like the SOS cupholder switches like TacoBill has (http://www.speedofsoundllc.com/05%2B...%20panels.html)

They do look nice. I would definitely consider this location and specific switch if I decided I needed it for something, but I wouldn't use a switch for the trunk, I'd use a button.

I tend to have a drink with me sometimes so I couldn't go with the cup holder switch style. Maybe if it was a dedicated track car.
