Default paint refresh? looking for experts!

I live in the Houston area and i have been getting price quotes on Repainting the exterior of the car. I will be going with black again, its just a basic repaint to give it, its shine back. The price quotes here in houston seem cheap to me and i will admit there is tons of cheap labor in Houston which probably drives prices down. What should i expect to pay for a black refinish or repaint on the exterior only of a car thats in good body shape?

Thanks

Dont know about your area laber, But to prep a car for paint when I worked for a body shop. They would say figure 16 hours for a full size car. There are many who say it can be lot less. They dont properly prep the car for a paint job that last. Be carefull you will get what you pay for! Check there work and reputation!

I would say $2000.00 in most areas of the country for a good quality repaint. To go show quality expect to pay a lot more.

If you're keeping it black, my suggestion is go with a Chrysler or BMW black that has metallic in it = 100x easier to keep clean, and won't be super easy to notice if the jams dont match.

My shop does very nice work, I'm not in charge of money but I believe we charge in the neighborhood of $8k for one color.
