Default stainless hoses

I just installed the Spectre Stainless braided on my 2005 Roush GT. I am concerned with the driver's side PCV hose as it seems to be wanting to colapse under vacuum. For those of you that have upgraded to stainless hoses, what brand hoses are you using and have you experienced this same issue. If so, what did you do to address the problem. If this hose does colapse what is the potential damage/danger.
Any insight on what to about this would be greatly appreciated!

hi Jim I,am going through the same thing .I just bought JLT catch can and they sent 1/2 inch heater hose which will break down with oil and turn to mush.I went to napa and bought 1/2 inch fuel hose napa #h-178 which is also good for oil they said its good for about 24 inch vacum so far so good .Iam running roush supercharger also [m90].I,am trying to keep the quick connects that ford uses. so I,am trying to stay with 1/2 or I may try 5/8

Hey thanks much for the info. Is the hose you mentioned from napa braided stainless or standard rubber hose?

I am going to the garage shortly to try and work something out with this hose. I found a couple of vendors online that sell internal reinforcing coils so if my trick doesn't work I guess I have to buy some of that.

Thanks again for the info.

Default Probvlem solved!

I fixed my problem with the driver's side PCV hose collapsing. I created my own internal reinforment for the hose by taking the hard stock hose, removing the insulation that was on it, and then sliding the hard hose inside the braided stainless hose. Took some effort to get it to go through but was worth it. Maintained the look I wanted and don't have to worry about the hose collapsing.

Still have to replace the coolant overflow hose. That should be in tomorrow. And the radiator hoses, I still haven't figured out what to do with those yet.

Here's the pics:

Thanks for the compliments! I'm pretty happy with the result so far but like I said, still have a few hoses to swap out. One step (and $) at a time.
