19 inch rims power loss?
hey guys this isnt stealth32 its actually his friend and he told me i could find some answers here reguarding these 19s that ill be buying. Hes letting me use his sn. Anyway ill be gettin 19s soon. The front rims weigh 27 and the backs weigh 30. My friend told me that its really heavy and was wondering what mods i could do to bring it back to life. Another one of my friends said he had 30 pound rims and it make his car feel like a boat compared to stock. Will new gears bring it back or possibly make it faster. I dont know jack **** compared to stealth so i need you help. fronts are 19x8 in the front and 19x10 in the back

27 isn't really heavy for 19's. Maybe a tad.
New gears will DEFINITELY help you with your loss on time passes.
If you really want the wheels and tires id slap on some 4.10 gears and your worries are over. You will feel more seat of your pants than you did when you had the stock wheels.
Be sure to get the Ford Racing Gears and NOT the motive gears.
Ford Racing gears part number ends with an A.
Motives end with an M.

If the wheels are pricey then id look elsewhere but for the right price i could deal with a 30 lb rim. Its not that bad weight wise but will probably be noticeable. Just throw some higher gears on it and enjoy.

My ROUSH rims were weighing in at over 40 a piece.
THESE WERE FOR 18'S TOO!
I bought those expensive bastards thinking they were good looking performance wheels.
ROUSH was advertising them as so.
When I called them they said they did not have the specific weight.
That gave me suspicion.
I had them weighed later and about shat my pants.
Turns out they were good looking but were concrete shoes for the car.
Didn't get my money back so I had to sell them for less than half of the cost. Needless to say I was PISSED.

i had axis reverbs on my last mustang, they were hollow spoke to save weight. i think they weighed 18 lbs each for the 18 x 9.5s, but ya the roush wheels are definitly very heavy for "race inspired" wheels.
as blacksmoke said, get 4.10s and youll be fine with 30 lbs wheels. I know a guy around where I live and he has custom 22s on his mustang that weight 60 lbs each.
