Default Cowl Hood?

Anyone have the 3in Cowl Hood from american muscle? Can you post pictures on how it looks, also, any comments on what you think of it?

The Kaenan 3" cowl is a nicely made hood. The fit is good. It comes with a white gel coat on the top side and black on the under side.

Here's mine...

Whatever cowl you get, do not go taller than a 3 inch, for street use.

I have been looking at this hood also. Do I need pins to make it safe? I hate hood pins

Some say you do but I'm not to sure if you actually do. If you don't like the classic style hood pins you could get the latch type from Steeda.

That is the same hood as the Steeda street cowl. Kaenan makes the Steeda hoods.

I've been running without hood pins up to 90mph on the freeway with no problems. For peace of mind, I'll add the WMS stealth pins in the future.

The Steeda hoods are 2.5" but yeah they're made by Kaenan.
