Default Help With Making Custom USB/AUX-In Panel

Hey guys, I've ordered a Pioneer AVH-P4200DVD head unit to replace my shaker 500 (complete with flaking buttons). This unit has the usb and aux-in on the back though and I don't want to have wires dangling around loose in my center console. My solution is to try and make a panel that contains both a usb-in and aux-in that looks at least semi-factory. I'm having trouble figuring out how to do this though.

I am thinking I will order these two cables:

But I don't know how to go about making the panel. If anybody has any suggestions, I could use some ideas!

If there's any way for the panel to have a door to cover the inputs when not in use, that would ideal.

No guidance for mounting but just wanted to know where you ordered the 4200 from? I was going to order that one but ended up getting the AVIC-x920bt for about the same price on amazon. Even if you want to stay with the 4200 they have 30% off right now and they are an authorized online retailer so you keep your warranty. I got the AVIC which included Blutooth and Navi for under 500 bucks!@

Good luck, you will love the Pioneers and here are a couple pics if you dont mind.

I thought about doing the same thing. I started thinking about all the things you would have to do to get it that way and then said screw it and ran the wires into the glove box.

what about that small cover in the center console that gives you access to the emergency brake adjustment nut. its thin, snaps in place and can be easily removed.

I ordered it off of amazon with the 30% off too, lol. Got it for $305 with 2-day shipping and I don't use nav enough to justify the extra cost. If that changes however, I can add nav to this unit but I'll probably just keep using my phone. I also went ahead and got two of the pioneer premiere shallow mount subs for the doors and an amp to run them. Found a shop that will do some custom spacers wrapped in a material to match the rest of the interior and mount them up for me for $50.

I really want to mount the USB and AUX on the center console just on the passenger side of the cupholder. I'm thinking this can be accomplished fairly easily with a dremmel and some JB-Weld. Got a crazy couple of weeks of tests though, so I doubt I'll get around to any of this stuff any time soon... just have to look at it all stacked up nice and neat in my bedroom waiting to be put in

2007s and up have an aux audio input in the center console. It'd be nice and hidden in there.
