Default newbie here: Zaino crowd here?

My wife & I just bought a 1 owner white '08 GT-CS w/5 speed w/only 13k miles... wow, we both love the car. Recently sold my '79 Vette I owned for 13 years. Most of the gang on the Vette forums love & use Zaino as I did as well. Now I'm wondering w/the Mustang crowd here, many use Zaino or no? if not, what seems to be the top choices??

& PS: I do plan to Clay bar the car soon which I know does wonders

thanks, Tom

Hey welcome to the Forum..The GT/CS Mustang ( in the 05-09 body style ) is a beautiful car, good luck with her...You should post pics of the car, and you'll always get a quicker response...I have to be honest, I do not know what Zaino is, so I quess I don't use it LOL...I'm assuming it's some sort of wax

Zaino is a synthetic polish that many Vette owners use as mentioned. It really protects nice and a great shine when you put it on in thin layers especially w/dark colors. And they have many companion products including washes, sprays, clay bars, etc... Unfort. can't be bought on the web though. Only through through contacts, they are based in NJ

Can't speak for others, but like you, used to use Zaino religiously on all my previous cars i.e. got introduced to it back in the 90's via the Volkswagen car clubs (and yes, works wonders with dark cars - I noticed a deeper shine than competing products). Oddly enough, I always saw more about this brand of polish on the tuner boards moreso than on the domestic boards (or it could be my imagination...).

I've now become lazy, so I take my car to get polished up, and the shop seems to be split on what products they use (Zaino is there, alongsided Mothers and Meguiars). The only thing they refuse to use are brands like Turtle, Nu-finish, etc.

Used Clay bar on car Saturday & what a difference. Car didn't look materially different, but took off all the fine particles and minor imperfections a normal cleaning or dealer prep didn't on our 2008. The Clay bar works literally like magic;

Now in process of putting Zaino Z-2 on... will put 2 coats on and use the Z-16 detailer spray in-between. Zaino really provides a nice slick finish
