Default Rear spoiler ???

Okay, so I got a Gt rear spoiler for my 4.0. So here's the Questions, do I have to use 3m tape? The reason I ask, is it seems everyone who goes to take their spoilers off, has a big hassle getting it off.
So if I change my mind later I won't have to hassle with it. But if you think I need it, then I need it. Also the person I got it from kept the hardware for his new spoiler, so what size bolts do I need and what kind of washers should I use.
Thanks

I would imagine it would fit better and more firmly with 3M tape. If you decide to take it off later.....you can use Goo Gone and that takes care of the adhesive fairly readily.

With regards to the hardware, you may want to just check out another car and see.

no 3m tape just the rubber gasket in between the spoiler and the trunk lid.

Honestly I think the 3M tape is overkill on the stock GT spoiler. The four bolts will hold it just fine.

Other spoilers, such as the GT500, the tape is more important.
