What is the button /Switch do that is beside the cup holder on passengers side of console?

 

The ambient lighting package. There will be LED's at the under-section of the console for each seat, and rear of the center console that will cycle through colors and of course off completely at each press of that button.

However, the button itself will stay a horrid green, go figure..

As will everything else aside from your instrument cluster and that's only if you have the mycolor (6-guage) one. And they will work independently of each other..
