I'll defiantly start my search on hoods. Does anyone have any idea of how much it will cost me to get a hood painted?

BTW, I'm originally from and grew up in Philly and spent 1990-2007 in the York-Lancaster area of SE PA.

A new 5.0 would prob make any bad situation better. I don't live to far from there. Been to Lancaster countless times but never to York. Gotta love the Shady Maple Smorgasbord!!

While I don't have rust on my hood anywhere (partially because it was replaced about a year ago when I crossed paths with a deer), I have had a small amount on my rear quarter panel above my wheel well for about a year or two now.

I also just recently found out that my clear coat is peeling on my back bumper too a few days ago. It's disappointing that I have to spend money to fix these instead of saving for new upgrades. But I guess that just means that instead of saving for an X-charger, I can just wait to see what the new 2014s look like and go for that instead.

I'm almost sure that it won't.
The fenders and grille are different.
Then, I'm not so sure that the hood latch mechanism is the same or located at the same spot.
Radiator supports are different...

Lastly, I think it would look like azz anyways.

Look under your hood near the top. Do you see what looks like a welded seam? That could be a problem. I didn't know about all this until I saw and read some threads on it, so I went outside, popped the hood and sure enough it was there!
I'm willing to bet 98% of all Mustangs built between 2005-2009 have the issue. It just doesn't show up right away. Most of the time it's hidden.

That was happening to an 07 I was looking at it was bubbling up at 3 spots on the lip of the hood and the Ford dealer selling the car refused to fix it before I would buy it. They did say they would adjust the price for me but I took it as a sign and moved on to another dealer.
