Default WTH?

So I go to the local Publix grocery store and I am inside for maybe 10 minutes at the most. I come out and there is a huge scratched area on my bumper (about 6 inches high and 3 inches long). Does whoever did it leave a note? Nope. People are so inconsiderate. Im frustrated beyond belief. Where did integrity go these days? The scratch could not be from a cart - had to be a car. Its fairly deep - too deep for a scratch remover or buffer. Any thoughts on how to fix? Just get a new bumper? Rather go a more cost-effective route. It does not look too horrible since my stang is black but still. This is now one of only 2 blemishes on a 2005 GT.

While Im thinking about it I also have a very small (about size of a pencil eraser) knick on my driver side door. It is knicked down to the bone. Is it worth it to get some touch up paint from the local ford dealer and dab some over the spot? I know it wouldnt match perfect but being so small Im not going to have the whole door repainted. I am zero experience in regards to apperance/cosmetics. Thanks!!

That blows! Post pics so we can judge the severity of them. You shouldn't need a new bumper or anything from the sound of things.

I hear you!! A couple of weeks ago my passenger side front fender gets a 3" long scratch through the clearcoat. A week later I find a 1" square hole next to the license plate. Receiver hitch maybe???

I use the dupli-color black "Scratch Fix 2in1" touch up paint from Walmart. You cal also get it at Advanced Autoparts. It matches the black paint well. It goes on thick like nail polish, so you only need a little bit on the brush.

Example of what it looks like:

yeah that bites. Someone put a nice ding in my car right behind the driver side door and someone else back into my front bumper with their trailer hitch.....its amazing that people complain about spending $4/gallon on gas but they dont mind putting damage on a $25k car...I guess if its not theirs, who cares... >:-0

Same think happened to my wifes Buick. Boy was she pissed. It tore right into the plastic on the bumper so it really can't be buffed out.

No note...nothing....makes ya want to get the shotgun out....

Same thing happend to me the day after thanksgiving. Went in the store for less than 10 minutes. Came out and there was a dent in my right rear fender the size of a basketball. I was able to open the trunk and push some of it out with my hand. still have a dent the size of a baseball. was quoted $500 same as my insurance deductable. go figure.

Unless you take it to a decent shop, any repair you try to make with touch-up will be noticeable. Bite the bullet and take it to a shop and have all those little things taken care of.

Ok, I have a few small dings(dime size) and scratches, what is a ball park figure a shop would charge?
