It also looks like they have some take off rear bumpers. I just would hate to drive 4 hours for some bs.

They have a bigger market for the OE hoods, so it's in their interest to convert the cobra hoods to stockers. Serving crash markets, it doesn't matter if it has minor scratches, etc, because it will all get painted.
I'd go have a look, especially if the have other cobra front body parts to complete a conversion.

That seems a bit shady, but worth checking out! You would think they would ask for a little cash, along with your OEM hood?!
Anyone local that could stop by and investigate?

If it's too good to be true, it usually is. Seems a little shady to me but make sure to inspect the hoods 100% if you go out there. There's gotta be a Socal member around the corner to check it out. Just fyi, the GT500 hood doesn't match up perfect with the GT/V6 front end. It fits, but the lines are a little off around the grille area since they have different fronts. Great deal for someone with a GT500 front end conversion

The gap does not seem to bad. Another 6er posted some photos of this hood on his car, see the thread:

https://mustangforums.com/forum/2005...-new-look.html

I have looked at the front shot of his car, and the front shot of my car at least 100 times. The gap does not seem too bad(less than an inch maybe), but he does have a black grill and black fog lights. So my concern would be whether the chrome grill on my car would make that gap appear bigger. My hood has a couple scratches so I would love to get a new hood. Worst case scenario I blow $50 on gas and don't like it. Second worst case scenario, I put in on decide a while later I don't like it, then I buy the aftermarket hood I really want. Or I could be lazy, keep my stocker and complain on here how much I would love a new hood.

Yeah the gap doesn't bother me that much. I always loved the look of the hood so I'd personally deal with it (or use it for a reason for that GT500 fascia). If you don't like it you could probably flip it and make some $$ (or at least enough for gas) and put it towards one you want. There was a primered one on CL here for $300 at one point.

Could always have the guys in the Chop Shop section photoshop it so you have a better feel
