Im definitely open to ideas if someone has a better idea as to what to put to fill in the gab between the scoops and the end of the hood. Ford might look a little funny because its not enough letters.

Why yes indeed re posers. Lets go this route, an authentic Cobra 6-7 figures, a poser low-mid 5 figures.

I do think the kit cars are posers.
But again a person's car is their own.

I think taking styling cues from a car is a different story and nothing wrong with it.
But totally badging and posing it as something else is not my cup of tea.

I just know that if I was to have a car I would take pride in what it IS.
Badging it s something it is not just seems to throw an insult at what you HAVE
accomplished. To me I would be insulting myself in doing such a thing.

I know not all people think as I do when it comes to this.
I am not taking shots at people with a different opinion than mine.
That is just the way I myself feel about the issue.

Sometimes posing a car to be something else can also bring the OPPOSITE attention
that the owner wants. There was a kid here that went ALL OUT on his GT
with the SS hood, badging.. and did some little different things that the factory
Super Snake had... but he DID try to pose it as one. I mean this kid WANTED that car
to be taken for a Shelby.

We had a kinda Mustang get together that took place at a car wash that wasnt even scheduled...
just one Mustang ended up being ten. We knew it was not a real Super Snake
and although people were nice to his face...people were definitely making remarks to the side
that were not positive AT ALL about it, and when he left all flaming hell broke loose.
Not saying it was right to do so. Just saying I'm sure it was NOT the kind of attention he
was looking for... and pointing out that it can get you just the opposite of what you are looking for
often times.

Just something that a lot of people that badge their cars sometimes do not realize.

But again... to each his own. Each owners vehicle is his or hers to do so as
they wish.

Ditto! I've been at shows where exactly the same thing happens to a ill badged car. This debate will never be resolved.
Most people can say "I don't care what people think", but if you show your ride or post questions like this on a site then you obviously do care.
Like its there car... it's our opinion. Justified or not.

Its not that i want to badge my car incorrectly. Its just the Shelby lettering on the hood really completes the hood and the front end of the car with the stripes. What other lettering could I put to replace it. I think ford might be to bland with 2 letters on each side of the nose.

You could definitely pull it off with the FORD letters.
I have seen it done very nicely!

And remember... these are just the opinions of certain owners.
The car is definitely yours to do with as you wish and what matters in the end
is what YOU want!

It could still work with the "T" at your dead center

what a fukin joke...you don't have the $$ for a real thing, which in your case is OK...you're 22...Make a list of all the things you want to have, then spend the next 20 years getting them...fresh out of college, eh...nice route...what's your major? <your quote> "Im planning on making my car have the ***** to backup the look when I can. IE supercharger, pullies, gears, tune etc"...this still doesn't make it shelby, no matter if you had 1200 rwhp and all the chit to make it go...

<your quote> " If people want to flame I understand But this is what I want in a car and it is mine "...this is true, but coming to a place full of enthuasists to ask how to pose? If I put M.D. on my business card and outside my office, I wouldn't ask the AMA how to forge the doctoral certifications...
