I use Acrylic Enamel with catalyst hardener... Spray or brush it on. (I use Centari by Dupont).
Been doing that for years and it doesn't chip (Unless you hit the caliper with the rim when you take the wheels off or put them back on rather).

As far as prep, brush clean the calipers with Lacquer Thinner first and put the paint on.
Simple.

Except with duplicolor... The paint does not hold up to the heat of braking no matter how good you prep them. Trust me I used dupli twice before I went to g2.

It has for me... almost 5 years now... you do alot of real heavy braking?

No track racing and I dont brake any harder than most people. You are lucky it held up that long since a lot of people have problems with it.

mine wore off within a year.. but than again, I drive it through harsh winters since 2008.. so it's a given..

I have tried the Dupli-Color caliper paint set. Worked great and lasted a couple of years.

I just purchased the G2 kit after reading great things about the finish and quality of the kit. They also do custom colors and match mustang paint code colors.
