My dad thought of doin this to his rims on his jeep one day ... I never thought of doin this to the engine to clean it up... I wonder about doing the interior with carbon fiber hydroprint. Looks great though!

Looks good, next add a plenum cover and do the same print.

If I read your post more carefully I would have realized you you had the shaker and where doing the print on that. That's what I get for just looking at the pictures.

That turned out great. I am in the process of opening my own dipping business. Should be up in about a month but there are literally hundreds of patterns to choose from. Its a pretty cool process.

Not a big fan of the skulls but great idea. I've been trying to find something to do with that piece. How long was the process?

IIRC, it doesn't take long at all. You lay the sheet in water and the material it is printed on dissolves, then you simply dip the piece into the water straight down and voila. My guess is the longest wait is probably for it to dry (if there is any wait for dry time at all).

You're right about that part of the process but there's a little more to it than that. First off most of the patterns are transparent so what ever color you want underneath needs to be sprayed first. After the color paint is dry then they dip it. Then after that dries, 3 coats of clear are applied. So I would say that the whole process takes about a day... maybe a little longer.

The place I take my parts to usually takes two to three days depending on how busy they are at the time.

Nicely done! How will the clear coat hold up with the heat under the hood?
