I paid a local upholsterer to install material on front and back areas, then I applied the welt border around the new material. I am very happy with the results.

I have had the material to do mine for over a year now.....just been to afraid to try it. I have seen write ups on how to fix the existing panel.....but none on how to make new ones.

If you end up doing it, post a write up for the rest of us!!

The link i posted on the first page shows how a guy did this to the back panel, so making new ones on the front would be the same process just more material and more time consuming

I found the dark garage picture of my interior. The issue with doing the backseat is the large gap between the pieces, the welt around the edges covered up the gap perfectly.

Just got my roll today, it is quite big, it's about 5ft by 6ft long. So those who wanted to know how much to get I would say a yard of it, if you want to do the back then 2 yds.

When you start on it, can you take step by step pictures for us?

That looks nice in the back seat area! I may do the same thing in Vista Blue.

Hi, where can I get the material itself, the perforated factory type for the insert panels when they need re-glued? I want to change colors to a red, not burgundy, but a nice bright accent color, like true red. Thanks!
