Default Rim size without lowering???

Looking for some input. I'm in the market for a set of rims. But I'm not looking to lower the car. ? With OEM wheel sizes on the rise, what size will look okay without having to lower my 2007? Are 19" & 20" too big?

Thanks for your help.

The OEM tire height is about 27", so by going with a lower profile tire you can maintain that overall height. I've seen people go with up to 29" overall tire height, but you take a serious performance hit and your speedo is off until you tune for the revs per mile.

with stock height.. I'd stick with 17 or 18's and use meaty tires to fill in the wheel space

If you are not planning on lowering, then you need to look at what I did. I couldn't lower due to my driveway angle at my SC house. I wanted to reduce the rear wheel gap without lowering, so I took a lot of measurements and researched different wheel and tire sizes.

I decided on going staggered with 18 x 9 wheels up front with 255/45/18s and 19 x 10 wheels on the rear with 275/40/19s. The front tires are 27.0" tall while the rears are 27.7" tall. This increase in the rear levels out the wheel gap and gives the car a slight rake and a nice stance IMO...

You won't find any internet company selling this combo, but I bought my rims from American Muscle and the tires from the Tire Rack (both outstanding companies!) and had the tires mounted locally. My car rides like stock and handling was greatly improved with the addition of Koni STR.T shocks and struts.

You could lower the rear only with some Roush rear springs, they will lower the rear ~1" and they're easy to install. Then you can stick with a wheel/tire combo that is the stock wheel/tire diameter of 27".

Here's my '07 with 255 35 zr20s with stock suspension. I also agree with waykooljr, just lowering the rear up to an inch will help the rear wheel gap be closer to that of the front

Wheel size doesn't matter as long as you maintain close to the original OE tire OD of 27.something "'s. Personally, I'd put a 15" wheel on my '07 if it would clear the brakes. I hate my 18's; no frickin' sidewall and we all klnow that sidewall is sexy. Those 20's and larger wheels are for clown cars.

Get 20's all the way my friend. So many heads turn and with running Nitto NT555's it is still a performance machine!
