Default Roof Trim Questions

You know - those little black strips that run from the windshield to the back window. I assume they are aluminum because mine are starting to corrode. Are they worth trying to re-finish or just replace? I can't find a part number in the online service manuals. Anyone know how to take them off without messing anything up and the part numbers?

Purchase Griots black trim refinish. My were turning all white and I was planning on repainting them but someone told me about that product and it is amazing. It's almost a black ink and you have to be careful ( I pulled mine off) and it makes them look brand new. You will be happy with the turn out.

I got the P/N from Ford a few months ago, but after seeing the price, i misplaced it!

i think it was $90+ for drivers side and $110 passenger.
Pull them off, sand them down and repaint or go with the Griots option. ANYTHING at this point is a cheaper solution than replacing them. That is, unless you have a junk yard that specializes in ripping down Mustangs...then you might just get them for free!

They pop right out, so nothing more than a 2 day project
