Default Thoughts on these wheels?

I was seeing what everyone thought about these wheels. I was looking for a cheap replacement for my 17" bullitts. The wheel specs are 18x8 +40, and I would most likely put 255/45/18 on them.

Split spoke generally looks good on s197 IMO. But I think the center cap needs a pony or ford oval. If they were mine I'd be looking for center caps. Otherwise they should look great on your car. What color is it?

Meh, idk I had split spoke up until a year ago and while they looked alright, it made me wish that I saved for a staggered set up as the 255s don't give quite the beefy look that 275s and 285s give. I guess I'd have to actually see a set on a mustang to give my final opinion

I actually like the bullitts on your car. Stance is nice and great looking car.

Cav,

Your car looks great. Yours is the first steed with pony pkg wheels lowered like that I've seen. Which springs do you use, cause it has a good stance.

If you wanted to really set those wheels apart you could tape off the inner lip and front face of the rim (the whole area that faces the outside) then paint the inside of the spokes matte black. It would give it a black w/machined face type look. You could re-use your pony center caps on these too.

First look at them reminded me of madstangs last set. Get him to post a couple of old pics for a look.
To me they are ok...but who wants to spend all that money for OK, right?

The wheel design is fine, but a rear 18x8 wheel is on the thin side. Even the factory ones that most of us switch out are 18x8.5

IMO it would look off (on the rear).....just my .02

I like the rims and I think they'll look really good on your car, but I agree with Vader GT...they're a little thinner than what most here go with when switching out rims.

Not a good idea putting 255s on an 8" rim. 245s would be my max.

I've got 255s on an 8.5 and they look pretty snug, and barely give it that slight "balloon" lip over the edge to keep away curb rash. On an 8" it would probably be more pronounced.

Either way, car looks really good man. You should throw a chin/front bumper on it after the rims.
