Default HID Head Light Kits

Alright I'm looking for the best bang for my buck and suggestions on which kit to buy. I see all the 6000K and 8000K but I know it's all personal preference. Shoot me some idea's please and some links on where I should buy one at.

I want to have these professionally put on but I don't know anywhere to have them done in Augusta, Georgia since they are technically "illegal" how painful is the install on them? Because I tend to mess up the easiest stuff. In the navy we like to call it "nuking things" lol..

Check out http://retro-solutions.net/

I've had my kit for for about 4-5 years without any issues.

Thats the kit I bought, they also offer a 55w kit, but the 35 suits me just fine. Lifetime warranty so thats pretty awesome. Install is pretty easy, they lay it out easy enough.

Well I guess my next couple questions are...

I have a 2007 GT. So do I need to get two kits for the fog and head lights? How much brighter are the 55 to 35? I really like bright headlights but I don't want them to be stupid bright and cause me to get a ticket.

How long does the install take? Lots of running wires or what?

Is the 9145 bulbs both hi and low beams for the fog and head lights for my car? Also what is the difference between the night vision and the regular conversion kit?

If you'd like to convert your fog's to HID then yea I believe you'd need an extra kit for that. I couldn't tell you the difference between the 35w & 55w since I've only used the 35w but, its plenty bright as is. Might want to get the bulbs capped, it helps keep the light from the HID's from spreading out. My 06 came with a sort of bulb shield inside my headlights that does this so I didn't need to get the bulbs capped. Install takes about maybe an hour or to, just a few connections, grounding here and there and mostly hiding/cleaning up all the wiring.

I believe the 9008/H13 are driving lights IIRC, that is both low & high beams in the same bulb thats why they cost a bit more. I'm not sure on the foglights

Looks like this chart shows the differences between the normal & Night vision conversions.

Well who do I need to ask what bulbs are the exact for my car? I want to make sure I get the exact ones I need especially if I'm about to drop over 300 dollars on lights for my car.

You want H13's (Bi-Xenon) for headlights, and H10's for foglights

55W are brighter then 35W. jpplaw is correct on the bulbs you will need. Install is super easy, it really shouldn't take you an hour unless you have issues or want to get picky on tucking everything away.

You will also need two kits, one for the fogs and one for the headlights. I would advise on getting the 6000K simply because anything higher will cause you to lose visibility because of the change in color and because they are the closest you will get to them being white before you really lose visibility. 55W 6000K are very bright, perfect in my opinion. 4300K is actually the brightest but the most yellow.

Also, if you are worried about blinding people, you could try to find a projector headlight, do a retro-fit in your stock housing to prevent blinding or a cap as previously mentioned.

So before I pull the plug on this. The H13's with the ford mustang 2005+ application and bulb capping

H10's with the bulb capping. Couldn't find the 2005+ ford mustang application so i just left it as other.

Just wanted to double check before i spent 360 on the kit for the headlights and fog lights. Hopefully this install won't be too crazy with hiding the wires and such. It does come with instructions right?

So the bulb capping will help with blinding other people. I don't understand what this does?
