HID Head Light Kits
#11
So before I pull the plug on this. The H13's with the ford mustang 2005+ application and bulb capping
H10's with the bulb capping. Couldn't find the 2005+ ford mustang application so i just left it as other.
Just wanted to double check before i spent 360 on the kit for the headlights and fog lights. Hopefully this install won't be too crazy with hiding the wires and such. It does come with instructions right?
So the bulb capping will help with blinding other people. I don't understand what this does?

You want the bulb capping. The light that "dazzels" oncoming cars comes out of the end of the discharge tube (bulb). The capping stops this.

The actual headlight housings on your mustang have the proper bulb designation
right there on the front molded into the lenses...
9145/H10 fogs
9008/H13 low/high beams...
The owners manual will also tells you this...

I don't have HIDs on my car, so all I'm gonna say is simply from reading some stuff online here and there. I'm not exactly sure what you have on your car as far as headlights but I hope they are projectors made to house HIDs as well as the capped bulbs, as pretty much every aftermarket kit out there is illegal and won't pass an inspection due to glare and what not.
I say that because you mentioned you were in the Navy, I'm waiting departure for the Army and was talking to my SSG about getting into trouble, he said he got a ticket once and was put on a month of unpaid duties with no off days. Not sure if the Navy does that but that makes me just keep my good 'ol LEDs.

Nah that won't happen here. Trust me I've saw hids on base. The cops here are just stupid about speeding, seatbelts, and cellphone use.
Other than that they could careless... Army is super strict when it comes to that stuff...

You really should consider the RetroSolutions kit. The kits are LIFETIME guaranteed, and that's worth something. If your car doesn't have the little black caps over the end of the bulbs, you really want to get the optional cap dip. If you have the caps, you don't need the dip option. RetroSolutions really is the best. You get what you pay for.

How do retrosolutions compare to the stang mods hid kit? they both have a lifetime warranty but i don't see the caps on the stang mods kit. Is it really that necessary to have the bulbs capped?
