Roush Illuminated Sill Plates Install help?
I recently bought a set of these plates to replace my boring plastic ones. This kit seems to be a plug N play which is good but my car didn't come with the lighted door sill plates connection, so I don't know how to set it up on my car.
I've read this https://mustangforums.com/forum/2005...with-pics.html
but the connection on these sill plates are a bid different.
Do i splice into all 4 cables from the sill plate?

No. If you want a special color you are sort of SOL. If you want blue or red or green, no problem. You can cut off the connector and use a 9v battery and find the color you want to use. The ground will go to the small terminal on the battery and the other end you touch against one of the 3 remaining wire to choose what you want. Tape off the other two or put 2 or put all 3 together to make whatever color they produce.
I used the blue on mine when I put it together. Since I bought the ambient console, I have hooked mine up to those wires and I have now whatever color I have on the cup holder showing on my door sills. You only have 7 colors available, but they look really great when they are on at night. I am also adding the door pocket pull LED's and the puddle lights inside the mirrors that show the Mustang logo to the ground. I also am putting an LED in each rear panel of the inside, so that the lighting is even and full. It just takes time and money and a little ingenuinity. Good luck with your project.

Thank You so much akdoggie, Im going for the Color Red so that should be simple.
Can you expand more on the puddle lights though? I did see those on the newer mustangs and I love that neat addition. What do I need for that mod?

They are just like these Ford ones, but have the Mustang tribar in color. I can't find the picture to show you but these give you the idea. They shine like the Ford logo pictured with this light. I have these too for my F150, that's why I had the picture readily available. I'll find the Mustang pict and put it up tomorrow. You drill a 3/4 hole (hole saw comes with them) and you run your wires to the dome light circuit. Looks pretty cool shining down on the ground. I'll put my ones in the Mustang next week, once I get the console and front bumper put on first.

Mine are this color:
Anybody else with this cable set up?

Put your meter on diode checker and pin the connector out.
LEDs are basically light emitting diodes so finding a common
ground should be simple.
Is that a vehicle connector or the lighted sill connector?
I would be careful attaching 12VDC directly to that connector.
I would first see at what voltage the sill plate starts to illuminate.
Start with 2.1VDC and go up from there to see where full brightness
occurs. LEDS only like 2.1VDC and if there is not a dropping resistor
inside the sill plates, you could burn up the LEDs pretty quick...
