HID question
So I purchased the 55w kit for my fog and headlights (6000K) I'm a little worried because I continually hear from friends that they get flashed with 35w bulbs so would it be possible to just buy new 35watt bulbs and be able to run them with the current ballast and wiring?
I'm new to the HID world. So I was curious if I would have to buy a whole new system transferring from 55w to 35w if I were to get pulled over and flashed all the time for them being too bright?

86 views and not one answer lol.. Smh
So also is there anyway to point the bulbs further down I don't know how to do that. Don't wanna break my bulbs or anything..
But I'd say I passed 10 vehicles a while ago and everyone but 2 flashed me.
I can see signs lighting up 100 yards down the road lol.

If the are coated on the front with the black stuff, you will be OK.
Come back when they start to flash on and off during operation...
The OEM housings have an adjuster on them.

Pointing will do nothing if the front of the bulbs are not blacked out...

To answer your question no. The bulb does not determine how many watts are being output. That is the job of the ballast. So to change your 55w system to a 35w system you would need to buy a 35w ballast and not a bulb. And your second question, it's possible that you could get pulled over. It is illegal to run HID's in those fog lights since it's not DOT approved. You would have to **** someone off to get pulled over for that most likely
