Cervinis Tail light install

fully inserted into the lock mechanism...
Maybe if you shaved a little off the sides of the key
but then the PATS would no longer work...

So you have to remove and reistall the medallion? Why not just trim the black plastic to fit around the medallion so the key will fit.

Nice job, too bad you had to modify, maybe Cervini's should pay you for the exact fit info. As far as your key not working, maybe you can install one of these;

I just installed this kit two weeks ago, along with some BBK long tubes and o/r x-pipe. It sucks that you had some parts omitted, as well as some other problems. The modifications you had to do though, were not needed. Provided in the kit are washers that you place onto the mounting studs of the tail lights, that will angle the lights inward, outward, downward or upward depending on which of the three studs you add the washers to. It was stated in my instructions, as well as on the installation video on their website. Its fairly simple to do. My center section is slightly crooked, but trust me it was from human error, not the kit's fault. The guy holding the other side of the centerpiece slid it down too far right as we were giving it the good sticky push, and now its stuck like that until i feel like buying some more tape and trying it again. Personally i think he did it on purpose!! lol
But seriously, if you see others that have mis-matched spacing or crooked lines or anything like that, trust me its their fault not the kit's. I think the kit is getting some un-wanted and un-needed bad press here. The kit is fine; quality, materials and craftsmanship is spot-on. Instructions are fine. Humans are what's not fine.
Oh, yeah, the key won't fit anymore since its not long enough, yeah, a slight bummer but i never use my key anyway, plus i'll be getting the console trunk release button kit by the end of the year as well so it had no bearing at all on my grade of this kit. As with all custom pieces, there's a little trade-off for, in my opinion, the most badass rear end you can get for these cars.
