Default Got hit...need advice again

Unfortunately, after only a few weeks ago coming for some bumper advice after an ill-advised accident of mine, I'm back again, because a teenage girl with her permit decided to rub her gigantic van against my car today.

And here's what happened: Two-way street, wide lanes. Girl was in front of me going to make a left onto another street and was all the way to the left side of the lane. I was behind her and to the right. As she went to go left, I went to go right, and she decided that she would go right instead. So I stopped before my turn, honked the horn for literally 5 seconds and she continued in her path and ignored the horn and hit my left front fender, denting it and rubbing her **** red paint all over it as well as ****ing up my bumper. I don't know which way insurance is gonna say it, but I have a bad feeling they'll claim it's equally my fault for not waiting for her to completely make her left, but IMO mostly her fault.

Don't know if I should tell my ins/make a claim. Also I have a $500 deduct.

And here's the damage:

Advice?

Pretty sure shes at fault on that one lol, you don't go left and decide to go right........

Pretty sure they will see that as newbie driving error and her insurance will pay up.

I say pretty sure a lot.....

That's ridiculous. Were the cops called to file a report?

Cops were called and a police report was filed. I asked the cop his opinion and he said "take a chance with your insurance company is up to you but I would say you're at fault because it's a one lane street and you should have waited for her to make her left even if she decided to turn right at the last second."

Cops don't decide fault here it's up to insurance companies.

She should be at fault even if she decided to turn right at the last second she still needs to look in her mirror before turning. What if someone on a bicycle was coming down the right side she could of hurt or even kill them, if insurance looks at your car pretty sure they will say she at fault by just looking at the angle you got hit at.

You could get an estimate to see what it will take to fix it.

I owned my car for only a couple of weeks and a lady backed into my rear passenger side fender and
dented it really bad. I knew the lady's husband and we worked out a deal to avoid going through our insurance companies. She took fault and paid for my damages via credit card. Thankfully, there wasn't any wheel or bumper damage. All said and done, the cost was over $1,300, which I had the work done at the dealership where I purchased the car.
Unless you plan on paying out of pocket for the damage, make a claim with your insurance company, that's what it is for. Good luck with the fix!
